- Pre-heat the oven to 190°C. For the filling, place the apples and pears in the chopper accessory from Braun’s MultiMix 3 Hand mixer HM 3135. Thanks to ComfortClick function you can keep the same comfortable hand position no matter which attachment you are using. Chop the apples and pears to a smooth mixture. Start slowly and speed up gradually, you have the full range of variable speeds at your disposal – with every attachment. Place the fruit in a medium-sized pan and add the sugar, water and powdered ginger.
- Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat until the fruit starts to soften and release its juice. Now spoon the mixture into 4 small ramekins.
- For the topping, attach the kneading hooks to the hand mixer with one click. Place the flour, brown sugar, almonds and butter into a large bowl and blend the mixture until it resembles coarse breadcrumbs.
- Spread the crumble topping evenly and generously over the fruit and bake in the pre-heated oven for 20 minutes until it is bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
